O teste Zinzino HBA1C
O teste está dividido em duas partes principais. First, the actual measurement is performed using an easy at-home, laboratory-analyzed test for analyzing the long-term blood sugar level (HbA1c) found in capillary blood obtained from a fingertip using the Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technique. This technique has been shown to correlate with venous blood sampling when validated for HbA1c analysis. All it requires is a few drops of blood on a filter paper and it takes less than a minute to complete. The blood will then be analyzed by VITAS Analytical Services in Norway, an independent laboratory with extensive experience in chromatographic analysis. The Hemoglobin A1c test that we use to measure the long-term blood sugar level analyzes the amount of A1c, a form of hemoglobin with glucose attached. The higher the amount of blood glucose (blood sugar) on average, the more glucose attaches to hemoglobin. It is represented as a unit of measurement in mmol/mol (millimoles per mole) which has been the standard measurement for HbA1c since 2009. The result is then categorized in one of 4 different reporting ranges used in the report:

1. Zinzino Test é um produto de diagnóstico in vitro para recolher amostras de sangue pessoais em casa.
- Primeiro, lave as mãos com sabão, enxague bem com água quente e seque-as.
2. Take out the sample card from the paper envelope.
Guarde o envelope para utilizar mais adiante.
Tear off the SAVE part on the sample card and take a picture of the test ID. You can only see your test result with your anonymous test ID. Coloque o cartão na mesa com os dois círculos virado para cima.
3. Stimulate blood flow by making big circles with your arm or shaking the hand downwards for 20 seconds.
4. Retire a lanceta de utilização única. Tire a tampa transparente de segurança; a lanceta está pronta a utilizar.
Limpe a ponta do dedo com o toalhete com álcool (recomenda-se utilizar o dedo médio).
Place the lancet against the lower part of the fingertip facing the collection paper on the table. Aperte a extremidade da lanceta contra o dedo até ouvir um clique. A lanceta vai automaticamente fazer uma pequena picada no dedo.
5. Não toque no papel do filtro com os dedos.
6. Encha com sangue um círculo de cada vez. Aperte delicadamente o dedo e espere que uma gota de sangue caia por si dentro do círculo.
Se uma gota de sangue não cobrir o círculo, deixe cair imediatamente outra gota.
Leave the sample card in a horizontal position at room temperature for at least 10 minutes for the samples to dry well.
7. Insert the sample card back into the paper envelope. Then place the paper envelope into the metal bag and close it.
Importante: Não retire a saqueta anti-humidade de dentro do saco metálico.
8. Coloque o saco metálico fechado dentro do envelope grande com o endereço do laboratório. Nota! Deve colocar a quantidade certa de selos postais no envelope antes de o pôr no marco de correio.
Register your test ID code at www.zinzinotest.com. This is the website where you can see your test result later. Demora entre 10-20 dias até o seu resultado ficar pronto.

9. The next step is to answer the questionnaire by logging in with your annonymous test ID. To answer all the questions, you need to have access to a measuring tape, and previous Balance and/or Vitamina D test IDs if applicable.

• Place a measuring tape around your middle, just above the belly button.
• Make sure it’s pulled tight, but isn’t digging into your skin.
• Breathe out naturally and take your measurement.
• Take your measurement again, just to be sure.
Tip!
If you do not have a measuring tape, use a piece of string in the same way, then measure the string with a yardstick.
